Police Beating Motorist In Diabetic Shock!

Adam Greene is on his stomach as a pack of police officers pile on him, driving their knees into his back and wrenching his arms and legs. One officer knees him in the ribs; another kicks him in the face. “Stop resisting,” officers on the video yell, but Greene, his face pushed into the pavement, hasn’t resisted. He doesn’t even move — maybe can’t move — because he’s gone into diabetic shock caused by low blood sugar. The video, recorded more than a year ago by a police car dashboard camera, was released Tuesday by Greene’s lawyers. The same night, the Henderson City Council approved a settlement of $158,500 for Greene. His wife received $99,000 from Henderson, which is just under the minimum amount that requires council approval.

Bunch of fucking cowards.

Fin Free Short Film

Fin Free Short Film from Maja Zonjic on Vimeo.

Most of you should know and understand how we feel about sharks. This is a great movement to help save sharks. The Fin Free Short Film is a celebration of the Fin Free campaign successes in six Ontario cities – Brantford, Oakville, Mississauga, Toronto, Pickering, and London – which have banned the possession and sale of shark fins in their jurisdictions. The film focuses on the positivity of the movement and the passion of the individuals supporting it, whilst raising awareness about the global issues facing sharks; including their destruction and plummeting population numbers due to finning practices. Instead of focusing on bloody images of dead sharks, or using generalizing incriminating language, the film takes an alternative approach to the issue by instead focusing on the people who love sharks and have taken steps to protect them through personal projects, legislative action or campaign support. Narrated by shark lovers of all ages, backgrounds, religions and races, the short film encourages other cities throughout the world to become Fin Free as well in order to save our sharks, our oceans, and our planet.
